Macom Sizing Guide
Find your perfect Macom fit.
Sizing charts for Macom post surgery bras, abdominal binders and compression garments. If you are unsure, our specialists are here to help.
Macom is one of the most widely recommended post surgery brands in the UK, trusted by surgeons and worn by thousands of patients during recovery. Their garments are sized simply and clearly — but getting the right fit does matter. Use the charts below to find your size before ordering, and contact us if you are ever unsure.
If you are between sizes on any Macom garment, always size up. A slightly looser garment is far preferable to one that is too tight, particularly in the early weeks of recovery when skin is sensitive.
Post Surgery Bras
Macom Bra Sizing
All Macom post surgery bras feature expandable cups that mould to your new shape throughout recovery. This means you only need to know your current high street band size to find the right bra — your cup size will be accommodated automatically.
Simply find your usual bra band measurement in the chart and select the corresponding Macom size. If you are between sizes, go up.
The expandable cup means you do not need to worry about your cup size. The cup will mould to your new shape as you heal.
Abdominal Binders
Macom Abdominal Binder Sizing
Macom abdominal binders are sized by waist measurement. Measure the widest part of your waist — typically around 2 inches below your belly button — with a soft tape measure, keeping it level all the way around.
Use a soft tape measure. Measure the widest part of your waist, approximately 2 inches below your navel.
Keep the tape level and snug but not pulled tight. Breathe out naturally before measuring.
If your measurement falls between two sizes on the chart, always select the larger size for post surgery wear.
Compression Garments
Macom Compression Garment Sizing
Macom compression garments — including girdles, shorts and leggings — are sized using both waist and hip measurements. This gives a more accurate fit, particularly important for garments covering the lower abdomen, hips and thighs.
Take both measurements and use the larger of the two to determine your size from the chart. If either measurement falls between sizes, select the larger size.
The widest part of your waist, approximately 2 inches below your belly button. Keep the tape level and not pulled tight.
The widest part of your hips, approximately 7 inches below your belly button. Stand with feet together for an accurate reading.
Match the larger of your two measurements against the chart. If between sizes, always go up.
