How is Lipoelastic different from other compression brands?

Which Lipoelastic garment is right for a tummy tuck?

For Stage 1 tummy tuck recovery, most patients start with an abdominal binder, either the 23cm or 31cm version depending on the extent of their surgery. The 23cm is suitable for most standard abdominoplasties, while the 31cm is often preferred following a full or extended tummy tuck, or where the surgeon has recommended coverage closer to the pubic area. Some surgeons also recommend the TF Comfort garment as an alternative for patients who find a binder alone insufficient. What is the difference between the 23cm and 31cm Lipoelastic abdominal binder?

The number refers to the height of the binder in centimetres when laid flat. The 23cm binder covers from just below the lower ribs to approximately the hip bone, which suits the majority of tummy tuck patients. The 31cm binder provides additional height toward the lower abdomen and pubic area, which is often recommended after procedures involving a lower abdominal incision that extends further down, or after DIEP flap breast reconstruction where the donor site spans a wider area. Can I wear Lipoelastic garments if I have sensitive skin?

Lipoelastic garments are latex-free and made from a skin-friendly microfibre blend that is generally well tolerated. However, compression garments are worn directly against healing skin for extended periods, and some patients do experience mild sensitivity, particularly in the early weeks of recovery when skin can be more reactive.
