When can I wear a bra after a mastectomy?

Most surgeons recommend wearing a soft, wire free post surgery bra from the day of your procedure. The bras in this collection have been designed to be worn immediately post surgery — they are gentle, front fastening and do not put pressure on the surgical site. Always follow your surgeon's specific guidance, and contact us if you are unsure which style is right for your stage of recovery.

Do these bras have pockets for a softie?

Many of the bras in this collection include bilateral pockets on both sides, suitable for holding a softie or breast prosthesis. This is particularly important in the early stages after mastectomy before a prosthesis fitting is appropriate. Look for the bilateral pocket feature in the product description, or contact us and we will guide you to the right style.

Can I get a fitting after a mastectomy?

Yes. We offer specialist post mastectomy bra fittings and breast prosthesis fittings at our Maidstone and London showrooms, as well as virtual fittings. Our fittings are private, one to one appointments and we are experienced in supporting women at all stages of breast cancer recovery with care and sensitivity.

Do you offer VAT exemption on post mastectomy bras?

Yes. Many of our post surgery and mastectomy bras are eligible for VAT exemption if you have a long term condition or disability. You can apply for VAT exemption at checkout. If you are unsure whether your purchase qualifies, please contact us and we will be happy to help.
