Crystal's Story

When I made my first appointment at Memorial Sloan Kettering, I was assigned my surgeon. Being at such a renowned cancer center gave me confidence in the care I would receive.

The surgery itself went well, and I'm grateful for the excellent medical team. However, I wasn't fully prepared for how much the physical changes would affect me emotionally and how I saw myself.

Recovery has been a journey of adjustment, both physically and mentally. The support from the medical team and finding the right post-surgery garments has been crucial to feeling comfortable again.
